The game has no accounts. You do not give us a name, email address or password.
What we process and why
- Anonymous install ID: when the game starts for the first time, it creates a random ID on your device. With it the game sends us: the platform (browser or Android), the app version, which episodes you cleared and your best stars (and time) per episode, and when the install was first and last seen. We use this for statistics (how many people play, how far they get, which versions are in use) and to show you in-game messages from the developer (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR - our interest in running and improving the game). The ID is not linked to your name, email or advertising ID.
- Messages to the developer: if you use "Report a problem / Message the developer", we store what you write, with your install ID, and our answers - to help you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
- Ads in the Android app: the Android app shows ads from Google AdMob (Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland): rewarded ads only when you choose to watch one, and interstitial ads between episodes, limited in how often they appear. The AdMob SDK processes your device's advertising ID, IP address (and from it your approximate location) and diagnostic data (for example crash and performance data) to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the app asks for your consent first (Google's consent form, UMP); without consent only non-personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice in the app's settings and reset or delete the advertising ID in your Android settings. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy; how Google uses data from apps: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites (Art. 6(1)(a) and (f) GDPR). The browser version shows no ads.
- Website statistics: we count page views per day and page - no IP address, cookie or device data is stored.
- Server logs: IP address and request details for security, kept for a short time (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
No cookies are used by the game or the website (the admin area uses one technically necessary cookie for signed-in staff). The browser game keeps your progress in your browser's local storage.
Hosting and transfers
The servers are operated by IONOS in Kansas City, USA. Data is transferred to the USA on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Google may process ad data in the USA as described in its policy.
How long
Install data is kept while the install is used; installs not seen for 24 months may be deleted. Messages to the developer are kept as long as the install exists.
Delete your data
- In the game: Settings → Delete my data. This deletes the install ID and everything linked to it on our server at once.
- On genesis.ucagg.de/delete-data with your install ID (shown in the game's settings).
- By email to noreply@ucagg.de with your install ID. We delete it within 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and object to processing (Art. 15-21 GDPR), and complain to a data protection authority.
UCA Red Ball: Pulse Genesis is meant for players aged 13 and over.
